Aldwark Manor 72 72 Commissioned in 1865 for Lord Walsingham as a wedding present for his eldest daughter, Aldwark Manor Hotel is set in picturesque parkland grounds close to the historic city of York. The Aldwark Manor golf course is set in 120 acres of pleasant parkland in the Vale of York, surrounding its own 19th century Manor House Hotel. The easy walking parkland par 72, 6187-yard course has many interesting features including water hazards, some rare and mature trees and a number of fairways meandering and intertwined with the River Ure. Water is also prevalent on the signature hole, the short 15th, which is guarded by a lake with a charming fountain. Sign for a par here and you’ve done very well.
Foxton Hall 69 69 >Alnmouth Golf Club overlooks the splendours of both Foxton and Alnmouth Bay on the Northumberland coastline in a designated area of outstanding natural beauty. It is widely regarded as one of the finest golf courses in the North East of England. Although the course has a coastal location it has parkland turf and a reputation for the fine quality of the greens and superb presentation. We are a private members club with an active membership, friendly clubhouse atmosphere and very strong junior section. Visitors are always given a warm Northumbrian welcome at Alnmouth where we have buggies for hire and first class practice facilities. A special feature of “Foxton”, as we are generally known, is an 18-bed Dormy House within the clubhouse designed to accommodate groups of visiting golfers in very comfortable twin or single rooms with en suite facilities. We offer a full range of stay and play golf breaks for groups and couples.
Mid Yorkshire 71 68 Established in 1993 around existing mature woodland the course at Mid Yorkshire Golf Club, at just over 6300 yards, provides an excellent and enjoyable test of golf whether you are an experienced golfer or a relative newcomer to the sport.>
Romanby 72 71 A championship standard 18-hole golf course, set in 200 acres of tranquil North Yorkshire parkland with attractive lakes and the River Wiske presenting excellent water hazards, Romanby provides a challenging but fair test for all categories of golfer.
Flaxby 70 70 Situated in an ideal position between Harrogate and York and only 30 minutes from Leeds, Flaxby Park Golf & Country Club is set to become one of the premier golf clubs and leisure venues in the North of England. Only a few minutes from the A1 and with an associated five star hotel and spa, this private club will offer first class facilities for both members and visitors. Designed by leading golf architect David Hemstock and featuring more than 18,000 newly-planted trees and several lakes, the 27 holes will test golfers of all abilities. The par 72 18-hole course is nearly 7,000 yards from the championship tees but offers tee positions for juniors as well as ladies and gentlemen. Golf facilities will include a 9-hole Academy course and a driving range as well as other tuition and practice areas. The club aims to provide a very high standard of golf for private members as well as visitors, combined with the ambience and professionalism of a modern country club. We offer membership for all types of golfer and there will be additional facilities available through the hotel.
